Insurance
Alumni who plan to undertake elective studies as part of their clinical training will be required to take personal liability insurance. This is usually very expensive to obtain abroad.

We have negotiated with Hong Leong Assurance to provide the following premiums for our alumni students who are conducting their electives in Malaysia:

Personal Liability	RM100	RM 50,000
Personal Accident	RM9	RM 50,000 for death or permanent disablement
Hospitalization & Surgical**	RM26	As per schedule

*	The coverage is for 3 months and is the amount is the same as our current students
**	Does not cover pre-existing illnesses

Procedures for Application
If you are interested in this service, please contact Ms Aznah Arshad (aznah_arshad@imu.edu.my) with the following details:

	Name
	IC Number
	Current PMS
	Elective Hospital
	Start and end dates of Elective
	Malaysian Address

Other Information

1.	Please make all cheques payable to Hong Leong Assurance Berhad.
2.	Details must be provided to the alumni office at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the elective. If the PMS require the insurance cert as evidence of coverage, please give adequate notice and the relevant courier charges will be incurred.
